Elocution Competition 2024

On Sunday, 25th August 2024, Ashraful Uloom Education and Research Centre, Howrah, organized the final round of its first elocution competition of the year. Nine students delivered powerful speeches on important and burning contemporary topics. The program began with the recitation of the Glorious Quran with English translation, followed by a Naat Sharif. The event was moderated by Maulana Asad Iqbal Qasmi Sb, and the speeches commenced through a lucky draw. The judges expressed that it was very difficult to award marks as each participant had a unique and impressive style. Guests were amazed to see ulama speaking confidently in English and appreciated the department under Markazul Maarif Education & Research Centre, Mumbai, for such remarkable training.

Inspirational Messages

Mufti Waseemul Bari Sb highlighted the importance of English as a global communication tool and encouraged students to gain mastery in the language. The Director, Maulana Musa Kalimullah Qasmi Sb, motivated the students to fulfill their responsibility of conveying the true message of Islam and to strive for excellence. Other respected teachers also shared their happiness and encouragement.

Winners and Conclusion

The winners were announced as Maulana Ubeda (1st), Maulana Khalid Iqbal (2nd), and Maulana Asif Jamal (3rd). The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Maulana Mohd Faizan Nadwi and a supplication by Haji Abdul Hameed Saheb.
